I am originally from Jacksonville,Illinois and raise up the same school from Illinois School for the Deaf from 1967 to 1983 then I started on my own independent moved out of my parent's house. I moved in to live a studio by self and I been there and really became sick of winter and bored in town. So I started to save money for 5 years to keep my dreams alive for move to Hawaii. Finally I moved to Hawaii in 1988 and still fall in love with Hawaii's famous new styles and dedicated to live in Hawaii for my life. Right now I am still falling in love with Hawaii's famous new style for since 1988. You know that imagined! So there is about 200 deaf people are from other states moved to Hawaii and they been loves Hawaii very much. They did learn to overcome with high costly for living and food in Hawaii and they can handle it while job has great pay wage too. There has a lot of fun with deaf club at bowling, volleyball, beach, camping, party at Dave & Buster bar and games and special events team to escape the ordinary. Lots of deaf students goes to Kapiolani Community College ,Honolulu Community College, and University of Hawaii too. They are about 100 of them in different places in colleges.
If you want to know about job and find a place to live and you can find this info. http://www.alohafriendshawaii.com/movetoHawaii.html Wishes you the best of luck! ;)

i would LOVE to live in Hawaii. i would live right in front of Pipeline. that way i would be able to surf it and then watch the Pipe Masters just by sitting on my roof that would be so damn rad. but...i hate to fly...so unless we build a bridge from cali to hawaii...its never gonna happen.

Moving To Hawaii

Oh, yes we have seriously considered it and have looked for property over there. I think I have mentioned that we already have a TimeShare in Kihei on Maui. It runs from Feb 8th to March 8th each year. It is OCEANFRONT, and near Azeka's.

We would have to change our lifestyle tho. The houses we looked at over there for 1 million, most of them were dumps and you would have to completely remodel before you could live there! Ugh!

We prefer UpCountry because it is cool. I love browsing at the hardward store in Kula! I do not care for the beaches where the tourists hang out. UpCountry would be perfect for us.

After spending so much time on Maui, the other islands do not appeal to us. We have visited them and always return to Maui!

living in hawaii.. i don't think i'm gonna do that.. but go there for visit.. sure!

i don't wanna live in hawaii for several reason.. harder to visit the 48 states because u have to FLY or go on FERRY ship. that part sucks

Me neither, I would never want to live in Hawaii because they are islands middle of nowhere, also it's expensive to live there, not for me. I would visit there, but not to live. :) I would NEVER be able to afford a house in Hawaii. They are not great for first time buyers. That's my views.

I love land that goes on and on like the 48 states.

Yes that is cool and I been there before and there have deaf group on the beach goers

Sounds great for you to move to there in Kihei area cool place to live there too winks lol :thumb:
Deaf people goes to Kihei beach every on weekend chat and swimming and dive for hunting fishes too

I would like to move to Hawaii, but cost of living there is AWFUL HIGH! And the job is low pay and there is no way we can't afford to live in the rich lifestyles.. :(

I have always wanted to live In Hawai'i I have been there and had 5 blasting weeks down there in beautiful island of Oahu. Best place there is Kailua, hawai'i, and sandy beach is my fave beach. It got cunning and baffling waves, that is how I broke my ankle there.

Depending on what food that cost very high there. Some food, especially fruits are damn cheap there! But anything from mainland is expensive. Gas has to come from mainland that is why its pricey. But why would you need so much gas for down there?

The only thing that stopped me is steep cost of housing!
