Hatis Mach I for Freedom

I'm wondering if anybody here has tried the HATIS Mach 1 phone/cellular adaptor with their Freedom? I have some credits I have to use up with Cochlear before the end of April and am considering ordering this from them with the credits, but wanted to know if anyone had any pros/cons about this device before I went ahead and requested it.

I considered getting it. However, I think I would find it fiddly especially if I was are receiving a phone call as opposed to making one. So I just went and found a cell phone with a clam shell design so that it could be well positioned over the microphone on the processor. Together with the Telecoil, this seems to have worked well for me.

Do you want to use it with the cell phone or landline phone?
 
I was able to try it at my audie's and found that it made no real discernable difference to me, so I didn't bother.

I'm going to approach Pantronics, though - to see if they can adapt one of their microphones for regular/cordless phones so it will work better with a CI. The one I have works alright, but the "earpiece" makes the top of my ear numb after about 10 minutes because I have to put it up near the top of my ear so it can fit over the CI's microphones. I've seen their miniature headsets so I know the technology is there - I'm hoping maybe they can develop something that "clips" onto the CI over the mic holes, then maybe has a voice tube to speak through....we'll see.
 
A friend of mine has one..and LOVES it! He said it was worth it for him. I haven't try it yet because I really haven't understood the words yet. I am slowly picking up. :) I would get it for my SK (or new future pager) for emergency such as 911 or my family to call quick than using online AIM relay.
 
Hello..I just saw the Hatis Mach..and I'm considering getting it , till now I used a noizfree hook , but it doesn't work anymore with CI...

did anyone try it ?
 
I would not shell out the extra money for it. I emailed Cochlear asking about a DAI option for cell phones and they emailed me back saying that the t-coil/loop was the only option. They then went on to include offsite options that they said were just as good and a lot less expensive.
 
Hatis has good products. I've never used the Mach, but have been real happy with the Epic hooks. :)
