You know young people and texts...Since I cannot use voice phones, I use E mail and texts most of times with my customers. As you probably know, texting is very popular with young people. Yeah, older people do text, but it's young people that do most of texting. My parents are in their 60s. My Mom does text, but Dad does not. That is why most of my customers are younger folks or college students.
I usually expect younger folks when I text with my customers. I was pleasantly happy to sell 3 bikes to a guy who may have been in 60s. It was nice to get to know someone who used to work for a Schwinn mechanic putting together bikes and also doing some repairs.
Not to knock on older people, but I'm always happy when I sell to them because I know many of them hate to text. I'm thankful for those that does.

And then there are the constant battles with my health care and trying to get them to call me back through my IP-Relay phone number, etc. UGH! Because we are Deaf/HOH *we* have to be flexible and go through all this to communicate, but others just don't want to be bothered.
And then there are my older relatives, who can't adapt to the relay operator type conversation (the Go Ahead, etc.) and so I haven't talked to them in years. And they don't snail mail letters, so...I lose touch.
