I'm going to a gathering tomorrow to learn about sending text over the amature radio waves. I see there is a lot of non voice communication available in amature radio and wondered if there are any hams here.

My husband is a hammer! He has a studio over the garage and the basement full
of radios of every size. Evidently it's not a hobby which you have just one.

It keeps him occupied as he's retired. He is hearing, I'll have to ask him if he's familiar with the text and ham.
 
Yea I've just got into it and I already have 4 radios :shock: 2 fixer uppers a mobile unit and a handheld. I really like the electronics part of it but I'm too nervous about misunderstanding people to make any contacts yet. Unfotunately I missed the rtty thing today but I'm doing more research online.
