As for me..I'm gonna wait until Sprint comes out with their 8330 Blackberry. My old highschool roommate (we roomed together 4 years at deaf school) works for Sprint/Nextel. He said if I go through him, I can get a GREAT GREAT deal...unlimited data plan with everything free (text..email..internet..etc etc) for 15 dollars and pay 4 dollars insurance making my bill only 23 dollars also with no contract. I presently pay 29.99 for tmobile SK2.

Remember that AT&T's NCCD/TAP will not offer special data plan on Blackberry and iphone. I think AT&T's data plan for $35 plus extra $$ for Text message.
Compare to Sprint curve 8330 at Sprint Relay Store. Still cheaper better than AT&T.

Not true. My plan under AT&T is $29.99 a month plus taxes with 5000 text messages a month limit. That's way plenty and I don't use 5000 a month. I get average of 500 to 1000 a month or so. Don't forget that is for 3g network, too.
Please look at "TAP". You have to read fine print. Maybe, you got luck. We are not.... AT&T's customer support told us can't take iphone or BB.

Dodge Trucker, I totally understanding. But are you sure about 23 dollars that each monthly? if so.. thats total cool!
I guess you miss what at&t offering it before items out..

FYI, Sprintrelay.com is offering Blackberry Curve 8330 for $129.00!!!! Next Month FINALLY!! Unlimit internet, Unlimit Email, Unlimit Text and Phone As Modem!!! I changed my mind and go for Sprint LOL.
My wife just got BB 8830 world edition last month for $88. I had been playing with her BB and became familiarized LOL. She got GPS built in BB 8830 and it was waaay cool, I downloaded and installed Google Map and I LOVE Satellite view!! Coowwll!!

iPhone will get TAP soon, can't tell when it will start.
BB can't get TAP because of RIM server is expensive and Sprint is kept losing money, also T-Mobile has increase monthly price for BB (from $30 to $40).
In overall, I don't satisfied with Sprint for some reason, I rather to sticking with GSM based carrier, att is preferred. You would notice about between 1xRTT and EDGE, 1xRTT is more slower like GRPS than EDGE.

Yes.... I did call NCCD's customer service that I would like to have iphone because I have rheumatiod Arth. I need soft touch screen on keyboard. They still can't gave me special price on iphone.
They will accept any device except blackberry and iphone.

About the BlackBerry & SideKick
My friends broughted SK1 SK2 SK3 and she threw it out, because of too many problems with the services also when out of state or town and SK doesn't work...

Not always best.... Everyone has different opinion about BB.
For example, my friend never hear other brand like AT&T Tilt or Nokia E62 or Palm Treo or other brands. He think only two (Sidekick and Blackberry) great for deaf. He gave me hard time to discuss.
Your friend had problem with SK1 to SK3. Do not blame Sidekick. Maybe, your friend at wrong place like weak signal coverage at country. She has to understand about tech of signal zone. Voice and Data are not same zone.
Dark green area is best signal.
Grey area is poor signal or dead.
If, I use Blackberry or any brand at very country in Montana/North Dakato/South Dakato. No way to get any message or send.
Even, I am at heavy wood/forest park in New Jersey. Any smartphone still not work at all.
At work place inside building, my co-worker has Sprint Cell Phone is dead. He has to go outside from building. It work. Other co-worker has Verizon Cell Phone still good work inside the building.

That sucks, man. How much do they charge using a blackberry with data and text plan without TAP? I bet at least $50 a month.
