My family isn't perfect... I should have vote for "not perfect family lives here" but I did vote perfect familiy..

UGH... should use "nobody perfect family"

Everyone has a different idea of what is a perfect family. It takes more than just sitting together at dinner saying grace for me so I couldn't take the poll because it is based on somebody else's idea of a perfect family that I don't share with.

My family might be perfect by Miss P's standards, because we did all of those things; except the parents had a major problem that ended up in a divorce. :)

My idea of a perfect family is when no one has to be scared when daddy's home (or mommy).

NO such thing as a perfect family.

Only strong family make it work right.

There is no such thing as perfect family, I disagree. No one is perfect, remember that.

Umm I am little lost at this one. U agree there is a perfect family and u agree no one is perfect?

in the 50's, I don't think there were no perfect family back then either...

Bill Clinton said his mom married many time.
Elvis Presley's dad was in jail for writing bad checks.
Martha Stewart's dad was an alcoholic.
Even my dad's mom was beaten up by his stepdad.

Not that many people have television in the 1950's..
because they were poor.

So you can't compare 1950's to 2005.... because
it has always been that way...

LIke I said before, except on TV in the 1950s....those are "unreality". :) Which means, they portrayed "perfect families" on TV in the 1950s. Look at "Father Knows Best" for example. In the real world in the 1950s, it's NOT perfect like you stated. :)

Check out this site -- the first few words were talking about the "perfect TV world of the 1950s": http://www.fiftiesweb.com/families.htm

oh, MP, u mean my parent not my family, my husband, ok, my parent got divorced i was 17 they never fighting all my childhood i have seen but affairs, now they back live together not married i think they still feel/love for each other :dunno:

I made this thread, because
I had a fantasy dream of having a perfect family.

Having a husband like Bill Cosby.
Me being a good wife,
thinking it is so simple to have children...

thinking nothing can go wrong.

And the Devil keeps tempting us to think
we can have a perfect family, but that is a lie.

If you got bad marriage, bad husband/wife, or a stupid boyfriend/girlfriend,
and if things don't go your way...
if you're pissed off cause you're still staying at home with your parents...

Then you should have known that life is hard.

Well, my turn.....my family isn't perfect either, but we all love each other. :) There is no family here in this world who is perfect, unless you see them on TV (like I have tried to explain to Miss P).

And yes, life is hard, Miss P..we all know that, including myself but we don't whine or get mad about it...but you should've known that all families aren't perfect....so you need to lower your fantasy a notch or two....when you get married, don't expect him to be all perfect, dear.

Thinking there is real Brandy Bunch? Get real! The reality is much like "Married...with children"!

My family ain't perfect BUT, I have my own family, and STILL not married! We all have ups and down! But we ain't Brandy Bunch!

I agree with ya! :) And yes, "Married with Children" is a prime example of a NOT PERFECT family -- more likely a dsyfunctional family....this is more like what the reality is. :)

There is such thing as a perfect family, but that definition of what a perfect family is will change depending on who you ask. It is a subjective question. I do think I have the perfect family, simply because there is nothing I would want to change about my family. I have a caring mother and stepfather who do all they can to take care of me and are the most unselfish people on earth when it comes to me. My relationship with my sister could be better, but what siblings do completely get along.
