Fault lies with the Federal govt and oil companies for many years. But once an environmental disaster happens on a president's watch and he's slow with the response, he owns it. It'll be his albatross around his neck for years to come.

Obama is simply trying to do the best he can do after the fact. He is not responsible for the spill...BP is.

By your logic, the same way that Katrina is the albatross around Bush's neck. And the lives that were lost as a result of slow response.

Funny how it can only work one way. This is Obama's Katrina times 10 on the ecological disaster scale. The "buck stops with him." But to wait 60 days for skimmers? I don't know about you but people would call that reckless and irresponsible. BP's at fault, too. And the Feds. And Obama for his foot dragging.
