Gee, I can't believe I missed this thread/story about your neighbor 'E'....

It's good to see that there's some closure for this family at last, eight years is a very long time for the Scarabelli family to go through the ordeals that they have and one can't even fathom the emotional sufferings of this family and also trying hard to put together any evidences to convict which they eventually were able to recently in court....

What kind of gets me is this excerpt from the article you provided is this: "...neighbors heard blood-curling screams..." It's sad to say that not even ONE person bothered to check out the source of the noises or calling their local authorities....I'm quite sure that there are a lot of 'IF's' regarding this scenario and it's possible that the neighbors who had heard these screams may regret this for a long time for not giving any effort to possibilty of having this averted...who knows whether or not it could have saved her life....

I'm sure the people in your neighborhood can stroll around the blocks with a bit of ease and comfort in knowing that Manolis is presently serving out behind bars largely in appreciation to the 2nd jury who found him guilty of this hideous crime....! Justice is served.... :smash:

Aye, RR, I find it sad as well. I think for now.. let this tragedy serve as a lesson to us all to take action pronto when we know something fishy is happening.. it could save a life!

Word Roadrunner, It is very sad to hear that.... :(

I'm glad justice finally been served! :thumb:

Yeah, I agree...it's about time! Aghh, is it me or does lifetime imprisonment seem too lenient for a creep like that?
