Hi,

I have a cochlear implant which I depend on for my hearing.
I am comfortable with talking to one or two other people.
However when it is a larger group then it is usually impossible for me to understand them which makes me feel isolated and left out.
I think I can use my implant better than I did when I was younger, but because I have never been good in group conversations I have very low confidence in those situations which can be depressing for me.

I was wondering if anyone on here has got round these problems? I used to accept my difficulties and dream about being cured of my deafness, but now I am starting to realise that life is WAAAY too short to wait for a cure.

Hope to hear from you guys soon

Jonny
