Grants For Blind, Deaf Youth Agencies Available - Phoenix News Story - KPHO Phoenix
Blind & Deaf Children's Foundation has announced a grant opportunity for schools and nonprofit agencies that serve deaf and blind children. The Foundation's Fall Emergency Grant Round is designed to provide a small sum of money to agencies that, due to current economic conditions, are facing challenges in completing programs during the current fiscal year.
"We need to be clear that we're dealing with limited available funds," said Rita Weatherholt, the foundation's executive director. "At the same time, we are sensitive to the fact that schools and agencies are struggling to make ends meet, so we're trying to help bridge that gap."
The application process consists of a two-page form to be submitted electronically by Oct. 15. The Foundation's grant committee will review applications, and grants will be awarded by Oct. 25.
