Grandma Threatens To Bomb Grandkid's School

If such a threat was made 30 years ago, they would had scoffed and brushed it off as an angry rant from an elder. You know it's true.

But today, anything you say will be scrutinized to death.

Police said Brewster didn't have permission from her daughter to visit her grandchildren at the school.

Breakfast!!

They ride the bus and eat b'fast & lunch at school. After getting off the bus in the AM, they line up to get b'fast.....and more times than not, the school bell rings before they can get into the cafeteria......

I complained (via phone) twice and nothing happened, so I went to see the Principal and told him about the problem. I expect my boys to eat b'fast, it's an important meal to start the day! Still, I got the run around!....So I threatened to go to the School Board and our District Rep.

Well, the next day, my son got off the bus and got in line.....the Principal ran out, and took my son in front of the line! Saying...ur Mom is gonna call the School Board if you don't get breakfast.

This year, the same thing is happening!...So I've got to go back to the school and make more threats.

Who's fault is this? It's been going on even before all the budget cuts!

Any suggestions? But not saying they can eat at home....we are always running and they have to catch the bus on time!

I believe it is the parents' responsibility to provide breakfast to their children BEFORE they leave to get on the bus, not the school's responsibility. So get your kid up earlier, give him breakfast, and then send him off to school. That's how it was done in my childhood, I got up EARLIER, I ATE my breakfast BEFORE getting on the bus to go to school!

Get up a half hour earlier and fix breakfast. My son rode a bus, too. In fact, he rode two buses because he had to transfer to get to St. Rita's. He got on the bus every morning at 5:50 AM. And he had breakfast in in stomach every single morning before he got on the bus. It's called being personally responsible for your child.

I agree! That's how it was done in my childhood too!
 
It can't be that hard to pour a bowl of Cheerios and put milk in it and then give it to your kid.
