I have noticed that many students have problem when threw the cap up then fell on street, or floor. After that and they lost their caps with tassles, some people's just got caps with wrong name, or mess up with name. My friend need helps to get cap with tassle back so what we can do?

Deaf school is no problem to find caps and tassles but our school has more than 500 seniors then it would damn too bigger for Disneyland.

I don't know... But, I remember when we did this in high school, I stood back far from the crowd and watched where the cap was going...

I guess you could put a tape with your name on it, or have something like pin?

Did your friend tried looking for it? I had no problem finding mine cause I did tried to throw it up higher but it end up hitting a girl in the face behind me, the good thing is she didn't hit me back for doing so, but she wasn't pleased for getting slap by my cap...

:ugh:

Most caps have white paper on bottom of cap and it called "Who is belong to:" or something like that.

No, it's too overcrowded and hard time to find it.

You may laugh but it did work .... Put a piece of gum in the pouch of the graduation hat where it dried and stuck overnight then on graduation day, throw the hat all you want then the gum is still there and you know it is your hat then go home and get the gum out with warm water then wash it in the laundry machine with hot water on then throw in the dryer with hot air then put the hat away with your yearbook and good pictures of good times with your friends in high school.

On that thought .... maybe paper clips in the graduation pouch that were color coded would have worked better but at the time gum did seem like a good idea and yes it did work. The another option is to hold onto the gold string of the graduation hat but throw in the air then bring it down with your hand still there and keep it for good graduation memories. :) :thumb:

When I graduated from high school, we put our names inside of cap so after we throw out in the air, and then grab the cap, give it to whoever it belongs to. Sometime you don't have to give it back whoever it belongs to because you can keep the cap it doesn't matter, but if you want your cap back, write your name inside of your cap.

I've graduated four times (one high school, three college), and we never threw our caps into the air. Also, I work at a college, so I attend their graduation ceremonies, and I've never seen them throw their caps into the air. Is that something done at just some schools?

Wow...thats my first time to hear that! Most of schools that I went to for graduation ceremonies, they usually threw the caps in the air.

You can throw them in the air but I didn't since I pay a lot of money to buy the stuff so I kept it close to me. No one at my school threw it in the air, sometimes it all depends on what people feel like doing. I pretty much think that the schools threw it all away since it was kinda late in a way! Ask the schools and maybe they can help you out since no one really don't got answers for it.. Hope you can find it sometime soon!
