glasses yesterday.
I am getting used to them.
Hub says I look extremely hot with glasses.
Me, I hate wearing them. But I haven't been
able to drive without them.
So, now they are gonna be on my FACE..
all the TIME.

Sorry no pic to show you.

But they are a light, thin frame, black.
 
sound like a pretty glasses :)


I do wear mine everyday. Even though I need a new frame...but got no money for it. :(
 
I have a nice pair here.
They are light brown/tan frames and then
there are just the lenses at the bottom (they have no
bottom frames) I don't know if you get what I mean.
They are in great shape. Just my eyes are so small, and my
head..yea that is small too LOL.
So if you want them, I can send you it.
Then you would just need to get your lenses nothing else.

BTW my frames are "young adult" frames LOL.
 
My husband have a problem with his eye sight. He won't go for a eye test as he said he is too embrass to wear a glasses. I have a 3 years old daughter wearing glasses since she was two.
Do you feel embrass to wear the glasses??
 
Yea kind of.
I mean I have had glasses all my life.
Since I was a kid.
I have a low self esteem right now because
I used to be 107 pounds this time last year.
I am not sure why the weight gain but now
I am like 121. So it compounds on how I already
feel about myself. I feel like crap!
 
Aw .. I am sure you look pretty with your new glasses. I have my own 2 glasses as well. One of them is silver and another one is gold. LOL

Some of my friends told me that I look like a teacher with my glasses on. Ha !
And, yes I do wear them all the time and, even for readin', too. :D

Now i probably understand why my husband won't wear glasses. Thanks for a little help. Maybe i shouldn't really force him to go for an eye test until he is ready. What do you think, heart2sign??
 
:angel: Now, you can see things in a whole different light with your new glasses. Everything must seem clearer now that you have your new glasses. You're such a beautiful and caring person. Tell yourself that over and over again, and get your self esteem to rise high!!!! :hug: :hug:

I know that if you don't have a good self esteem
it has a lot of affect on what your decisions are.

I used to have a great self esteem (people always told me
I needed to put on weight..well hope they are happy because I did).

I think I am going to take some control and get myself to a workout
program.

Anyhow off topic...your hub needs to realize that the longer he does put it
off he could be risking his eye sight (more damages to his eyes).
Yes, he may feel like crap like I do. But the fact remains it can get
a whole lot worse if he doesn't take care of it now. Each year, something
happens (last year I got into a severe car accident and lost my eyewear in the ditch). I was nine months without glasses, my dr was very upset he told me every month I am without my eyes get worse. So it's a health issue.

As for his self esteem, tell him that he needs to take control.
If he feels like crap about his weight. Get to the gym, excerise more,
eat right. Sleep right (that is the biggest thing!)

I wear eyeglasses for using a computer, watching TV and reading books.
I have the same kind of frames that you described above. Frame at the top but no frame at the bottom.
You will get used to wearing your glassess after a while :)
 
I had that feeling of too embrass to wear glasses when I was little boy....until HS soph.

Now, I loves to pick different style of glasses now days. I am pretty attractive to ladies as I was told that they likes my sense of humor, warm heart, and respect with my glasses. They might be freak to see me without glasses (hazy eyes)? I got to be stick with my glasses and no thanks to laser eyes or contact lens.

For starting : don't be like Drew Carey or Elton Johns, okay?

You could stay be strong with mocking from people for few months then they will forgot about your glasses. AND you would be attractive gal to new people. ;)
 
Ive worn my glasses for a long time now. I dont mind it...as long it looks good on me. I'm getting bored with this one now, I wanna get a new glasses lol
 
That's good and hopefully it'll help you 'seeee' things in perspective no matter what you may think how it looks on you. ;)

Also, try not to be like our fellow Ad'er such as CODAchild who has a habit of leaving her spectacles out on the front porch and then forgetting where it is! :laugh2:
 
I've had glasses since I was 8 years old.. I only used it for reading and refuse to wear it to school.. til I got pregnant, my vision got worse so I had to wear glasses thru the whole 9 months. After my daughter was born, I started getting really bad headaches. I went to the eye dr and the dr said that my vision was back to normal so I stopped wearing glasses. Now, I can feel that I'm gonna have to start wearing glasses again and i'm not looking forward to wearing that. I hate glasses on me. :barf:

I wear glasses only at night because lights do hurt my eyes and it's hard for me to read the closed caption on TV....

I've worn glasses or contact lenses since age 11 and last fall I received no-line bifocals.

Shhh....you can't tell anyone....not even Heath....not CyberRed or Reba...shhhh.......

I do have the glasses, I do sometime like to wearing it, sometime dont. I have to wear the glasses for driving during the day or night, walking around during in the night, and etc because Im near-sighted.
 
Hi All,
I've worn glasses for a long time (since I was about 16, now I am almost 36). I didn't mind them much, but a few years ago I suffered from an illness called Idiopatic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH)... a fancy way of saying I had too much spinal fluid causing pressure in my head and they don't know what the cause of the illness is. Anyway, one of the problems with IIH is possible blindness or eye damage. It also causes severe headaches -- pressure headaches. Hard to describe. Anyway, now one of my pupils reacts more slowly than the other, so no glasses will correct my vision completely. Plus, it is getting impossible to see close-up unless I take my glasses off. It's kind of a pain, but I am thankful to God that the IIH is in remission and that I did not lose my eyesight.

I have always wear glasses all my life .. I have nothing to feel embrasses
I love myself so much or too much lol Love this person who I am and proud who I am ..... ;)
