I own a 24" Sony Google TV.
One might need a wireless router to bring out the internet potential.
One thing I like is that the closed captioning is fully customizable regarding the fonts, letter colors, and backgrounds. There are 3 combinations that I use, depending on what I'm watching. If one ignores customizing the captions and goes with the "as broadcast" option, the captions might run along the bottom of the screen, which I find annoying.
A drawback is that the major networks are blocking Google TV from their web content.
For example, you might go to a site to watch yesterday's soap opera and be told that your player (the Google TV) is not a supported device or you don't
have the right "app" to open it. It's kind of silly because the same soap may very well play on your desktop computer or phone.
Other than that, one gets a rather good web experience.
Best tv I ever owned! I believe, overall,I made a good investment.
P.S.-To watch Youtube, select the "formatted for PC" option from Youtube Leanback instead of the "formatted for TV" option. The videos will play better
with reduced pausing.
