Nah. about 30 seconds after i saw the stabbing - I have NO idea how this happened but emergency people came right by. Firetrucks and ambulances.

I guess we could say that.

I take care of my family by shoveling the snow off the sidewalks and walkways. I think that's the excess of my "Good Samaritan" skills.

think you should ask "Do you want help?" first. If they give an affirmative yes, then help. If they say no, dial 911, and when they pass out, you can help them until the medics get there. This way your protected no matter the outcome. This way they can't say you neglected to help, and you didn't go beyond your scope of practice.
