Giant Crystal Cave of Naica Mine of Chihuahua, Mexico

150 degrees F with 100 percent humidity!? That's hostile!

Yea, I've seen that news before but it's still impressive!

I have seen somewhere probably in Discovery Channel on T.V. The cavern or cave is quite dangerous to humans coming into the fragile Niaca Crystals site. I don't know about the tours for that but I would be wary of entering to visit the cave. I hope children are not allowed to visit the cave. Yike, look at the men wearing the protection outfits and masks. That is something to think about, eh? :hmm:

Yes, they only can be in the cave for 6 to 10 minutes or they become disoriented. Most of them cannot tolerate that kind of "weather" in the cave for sure.

If I had the money, I would go down there just to catch a glimpse of the crystals for a split second. But given how dangerous it is, I seriously doubt they will be allowed to give tours to the general public. No insurance company is going to take the risk of tourists getting hurt and/or sick in these caves. The only thing that could allow that is if each tourist signs a waiver stating they know the risks of going to the hostile environment and that the tourism company/mine owner is not responsible for injuries/illness.
