I do have to say that on my Solana MicroP, the battery door is rather fragile feeling. I don't know if it would be the same on the SP casing, but on mine I sometimes feel like I'm going to accidentally rip it off. So if you have impaired fine motor function or shaky hands, the Solana may leave you at risk for accidentally breaking your battery door.
Eep! Thanks. That's scary but useful information. Now I am going to be in a panic cos I will have a pair on loan and am already worried about dropping them and things. I had the battery lock put on my Siemens ones to stop me catapulting batteries at the wall, then I broke the battery lock off three times.

I have to stick with Phonak cos everyone else has audioshoes I can't manage, Phonak is the only one which allows you to turn the aids on and off and leave the audioshoes attached. I run through 2-3 sets of batteries a week cos I can't reliably turn them off, and under the sofa is a a battery graveyard where I dropped loads. If all of the Ambra range have fragile battery doors I might have to get the Naida! I need something robust, I often fall asleep in my hearing aids, wake up and realise I need to take them out, then fall asleep again while I am holding them and they spend the night getting kicked around my bed. One reason I was looking in the paediatric catalog before.
