I have moderate to severe hearing loss and although I can hear I rely on lip reading. My pet hate is people walking up behind me or the side of me and suddenly they are right there at your ear saying hello or for example I was at the audiologist today and they came out stood to side of me called my name, I would if thought they would of known better to approach better from the front or something. It gives me such a fright when it happens and upsets my nerves. Does this happen to others? It dosnt seem to matter how much I tell people not to walk up behind me and it scares me because I havnt heard them approach so there is no warning, they still do it.

it happens to me occasionally, but I'm one of those weirdos who enjoy being scared (i enjoy a good adrenaline rush)
