Gallaudet reflects changes in deaf culture

You get all the hearing people drama on the news. Tell them that's their hearing world drama.

I am surprise that I didn't post to reply yours, yet. I am not sure why I didn't.

Anyway, yes, you are right about general news. Well, it seems they think those news are nothing but celebrities. I remember a few deaf people said, in their hearing "culture", they would not know what you are gossiping about. They don't give a shit what news are about, or gossips about something because they have things in their own lives to worry about. :ugh3:

Well, if it is truly way of their thinking, then why so many news? :hmm: Too bad, they call those news/gossips/etc a celebrity. Even they call murders a celebrity!

But I really am sorry to say... that is actually not answer my answer about "bad eggs" in Gally. I just tired of they critique Gally all the time and push soon-to-be students away from the place.

And the thing is....it just seems like Gally is turning into more like NTID.....

Hello,, when the Deaf Oral schools were booming, a lot of kids ended up at Gally....Also, they have a booth at the Clarke School Mainstream conference.
I think too that they WANT to learn ASL. It's not nessarily their fault they didn't get to learn ASL early on. A lot of hearing parents are uninformed that even hoh kids can attend schools or programs for the deaf.

I'm Oral Deaf and when I was in high school I saw an advertisement for it in some academic magazine somewhere. I do not remember the name of the magazine but it's forever stuck with me seeing it and telling my parents that I wanted to go. I felt as if I had found my niche back then. Now that I'm older and have heard more of Gally I have not gone because I've been worried I'd be treated as the Oral Deafie the outcast. It's too far away for me anyways. I wish they'd open more Deaf colleges. It'd be nice.
