Fun day at gym for deaf children (From The Bolton News)
DEAF children enjoyed a day of sports and fun when they were given free use of a gym.
The group of 26 youngsters, who are members of Bolton’s Ear 4 Kidz charity, played water polo and tennis as well as taking part in a variety of sports-related team building activities.
The event took place at David Lloyd in Chorley Street, Bolton.
Organiser Christine McKeown, from the charity, said the event was intended to give the children a chance to enjoy facilities they would not normally be able to use together.
Gym manager Will Goodwin added: “They were an absolute pleasure, and it was great to have them here.
“They all said that they had a fantastic day. We were happy to give the children access to the gym because we wanted to give something back to the community.”
