Frost, DeafLink will provide Sign Language services to customers - San Antonio Business Journal:
Frost National Bank will soon become the first financial institution in the nation to provide American Sign Language interpreting services to deaf and hard-of-hearing customers through a new partnership.
Frost has teamed up with San Antonio-based Deaf Link, which will provide interpreters to facilitate conversations between bank employees and deaf customers. The bank is making the videoconferencing service available at four Frost locations and plans to expand the service throughout Texas.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Through DeafLink, government, public safety, law enforcement and business subscribers can connect with the company's American Sign Language interpreters through a secure, encrypted Internet connection.
This service allows people who are deaf or hard of hearing to conduct important financial transactions at their participating local Frost Bank. DeafLink has interpreters available to its growing list of customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Frost Bank is the principal banking subsidiary of San Antonio-based financial holding company Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc. (NYSE: CFR).
