Hi. Since the apartment that I'm going to be moving provides a hookup for allowing me to install a washer and dryer, I opted to go with the front-loaded washer machine; therefore I wanted to save money on a long run for electricity and water, but it's expensive. Thus, I used Froogle and came up with a search:

http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=W892F

$359 is good but I can't afford the shipping costs... Well I'm going to be saving up lots of money for apartment but I can't get a job because my parents and I are moving to Altha, Fla., a rural town west of Tallahassee, to fix the house.

Now--the reason why the apartment provides a washer/dryer hookup gives me the advantage that I don't have to travel down to a laundry area to wash clothes, covers, blankets, etc. And by the way please note that I don't want to get a roommate since I wanted to have an experience living by myself. Plus, I could find other apartments but since I have a shopping cart, I wanted to travel from apartment to grocery store without a cab.

So I have a question for you. Would you spend $200 for shipping costs? It's very shocking but true, for the reason that the washer machine is big, except size doesn't matter although cost does! Thus I'd take that shipping cost and get myself a dryer which my mom will give me the gift card for Christmas.

Another question is, what kind of advantage/disadvantage would you take: front-loaded washer machine saves money during the long run for water/electricity but expensive, or top-loaded washer machine, which is expensive during the long run but cheaper when you buy it?

(I've restructured my sentences and paragraphs and minimized the repeading words in some paragraphs...notably the word "because," "but," etc.; thus I use Thesaurous to look at other words that have the same meaning although it has to make sense for others to understand my grammar...)

Go to Sears. They'll do the deiverly for you. I am not sure how much. We bought our front loader and dryer from Sears. So are our fridge, dishwasher and stove.

You'll LOVE the front loader! I had it for 4 years and had no problem! Less soap too! It last me about 4-6 months for the soap..depend how much I use the washer.

Good luck!

I'm sure that apartment have including washer and dryer machine in each unit or go to other building at same apartment complex that where's washer and dryer machine located.

Front-loaded washer machines start at $600 for front-loaded washer machines...

Looking at Sears, do they provide monthly payments? I don't have a credit, so I'm just asking.

I'm in a budget when it comes to renting an apartment.

Also, washer and dryer hookup that I saw in Apartment.com website means that I will have to buy my own washer/dryer and install it in an apartment.

You can try apply for Sears CC and make a payment. That's what we did for washer and dryer I think. I can't remember. We paid it off.

Or start save it up now and you'll have money ready when you start moving in.

Thats suggestion. :)

OK I have a question. Do you have to have good credit in order to apply for a credit card from Sears?

My bf's name. I don't have any CC. He is the one takes care of everything (bills) I am the one take care of house, cooking, laundry, take care of our kid, our pet, etc. Yes you need to have a good credit to apply. It won't hurt to try.

Well I'm 23 years old, and I'm pretty much educated when it comes to credit cards...

You can't live without a washer machine and a dryer and get your clothes dirty! This means I'll probably gonna have to call landlord located in the apartment complex that I'm moving if they provide a building for washer/dryer.

I'll probably gonna have to find one used, but can be pretty rare... Have to do a lot of research...

At my old apartment, I didn't have any washer or dryer so I just go to laundramat until I moved here almost 6 months ago, I bought a washer and dryer for 275 dollars (both) used.
