Does anyone do freecycle??? My best friend does it all the time and get neat things...

www.freecycle.org

In your area only!!

You can also put things on there that you are wanting to give away for those who needs stuff or want the items.. You DON'T sell these things....Check it out and I think you guys would like it instead of throwing your stuff in the trash and you knowing that someone who will take it... and this is a great thing... called freecycle!! :)

I do.

I do but ONE thing I am tick off...everytime I get rid of that I don't want to keep. I put "wanted" and I almost get NONE! That really piss me off! One BEST thing I ever gotten is SCRAPBOOK stuff!!!!

I got toy box for my son, and few things I requested...but not lately...make me grrr! I will try it again in July/August when school get close by. SIGH!

Freecycle is awesome though! I've seen them get rid of TONS of stuff...One time around Christmas time, lady was giving away the wedding RING!! So she had to PICK one to give! I was like whoa...not me!

wow very interesting...will definitely check into it..thanks for sharing! :thumb:

Yes, I use Freecycle.

I have given away furniture, linens, computer and computer parts, car tires, door, bowling shoes, and many other things.

I have received a drafting T-square, computer speakers (new, in the box), real deer antlers (for my grandson's room decor), and a few other things.

I give more items than I receive but that's not the point. The goal of freecycling is to find a good home for your unused items, instead of just throwing them away. As for the "wants" and "needs", sometimes the other people just don't have what you need or want. If they do, and you get it, that's wonderful! If not, oh well. No loss.
