There is soon going to be a launch of a website specifically designed for the deaf community, and a translation of captions to other languages. I am a Tech. in this project and i am trying to reach these community's online and find what out what interesting things online, which were previously unavailable, now can contain captions per your request. We are eager to serve and awaiting requests for content that YOU are interested in, may it be personal, online, or offline content we are captioning FREE! How it works is send me an email with the video link of interest. All requests will be answered, whether or not we are able to caption every detail of the video. Please if you are interested send your video links to the email at the bottom of the post with any comments suggestions or requests you may have. There is a chance your videos will show upon the release of the website. Even tho it is not online for a few more weeks, we are searching for content that you are interested in and wish to view it with captions. And these captions have the ability to translate into an language!
Once again this is an entirely free service and we will respond with a video link of your captioned content VIA email.

This is pretty cool. There have been some videos that I wanted to see transcribed but I've lost their links and moved on but I'll keep this mind, definitely.

Our website is up now, but still under construction it can be viewed at Captvids.com
please note that as of now our Closed Caption capabilities retain to YouTube media, all that is required to make a request on the site is Forum Registration.
We are well under way to making the website look clean and nice. All of our content will be embedded into a page on our site, meaning you can enjoy our collection of Capt videos without having to leave the site.

How to view Captvids movie w/CC on YouTube for iPhone and iPod? Closed captioning setting already turn on in my iPhone (iPod)
 
YouTube Audio Transcription

YouTube added a feature that generates video captions. "We've combined Google's automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology with the YouTube caption system to offer automatic captions, or auto-caps for short. Auto-caps use the same voice recognition algorithms in Google Voice to automatically generate captions for video."

The feature only works for English and it's been enabled for a small number of channels that usually feature talks and interviews: UC Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, Yale, UCLA, Duke,UCTV, Columbia, PBS, National Geographic.
