Free classes in which American Sign Language will be taught will be offered from 11 a.m. to noon every Tuesday at the Alachua Branch Library.
The class will be taught by native signer and new library staff member Ann LeZotte.
The public is invited to attend. Regular attendees include homeschool families, college students and seniors. Classes are informative, casual, and fun.
The class also will teach attendees about deaf culture and history.
