I don't like Fox News myself. I love CNN ! Anderson Cooper and Fareed Zakira of GPS, those 2 are great.

I still think Anderson Cooper needs to get out of political field. It's very awkward. He belongs to war zone and he's damn good at it.

He is very good in the war zone. He was reporting from Afghanistan just the other day.

Funny how every topic is an umbrella hiding "The deficit has quadrupled" and not about what has been happening. Today the DJIA has been flirting with 10,000. When we floated all our naval ships, soldiers, and aircraft into Iraq with false pretenses, that expense was not complete foolishness? Did they find anything there besides an old and bearded former leader? The cost continues to grow as the years go by. Money, resources, and lives. We diverted our focus away from Bin Laden when we had him running. I never figured out the real reason we invaded Iraq. Other countries refused to aid us, because they knew it was a mistake. So if that was not hanging around for the current administration, things would be improving more rapidly. Right wing profess to care about our future, but at what cost? No regard to environmental damages, because that oil is there, and we need it! There are only so many Iraqs left. All the Right wingers want is: cheap domestic oil; guns for anyone that wants it; no abortions; prayer in schools. They want to cram their doctrines down our throats, no expense spared, while continuing to fight for bringing Obama down by any means. Good luck leading those sheep over the cliff by touting fiscal responsibility, while thumbing your noses at everything and everyone else.

I love it when you just put it all in a nutshell!

Pretty much all wrong and misguided but that's JMHO based on the facts.

Mmm...

I never watch FOX news for general news. I would prefer to watch some cartoons and/or shows. I think FOXS is too bias, and I don't like CNN cos it is an anti-conservative and too bias, imo. I prefer ABC or NBC (I think I spell it right) better. Well, still, I hardly watch any news. I tend to listen weather casts on either ABC or NBC. ^_^

I think all news has bias. Money controls too much. Probably best to stay with weather. Hard to get biased forecasts.

Yeah, you are right. All news could have bias. Personally, I think watching local news in any state may be good idea. I don't want to hear whosever is on a side...

Except that meteorology is a joke.

Really, most cable news aren't worth your time. I like to turn it all off and just meditate.

The Weather Channel is becoming a joke. They replaced almost all their older "on camera" talent. Also, they have shows like "Storm stories" that tend to play during the early evening, which is the stormiest time of day in the summer. Nothing like watching clips of storm damage while your own skies darken, and you get limited coverage because of the "Storm stories" show playing.

I'm glad I don't pay $100 a month for cable. Instead, I rely on my antenna for the stunning HD channels... all for FREE.

silly - your tax pays for it :giggle:

Iraq was just convenient as teh playing field to take the terror war overseas rather than fight it here. We had the legal opening to enter Iraq as they had not lived up to the Persian Gulf War surrender terms.
It was just choosen as the mideast warground. Not neccesarily about Iraq itself. But Hussien did play a game of chicken....not only regarding inspections but that was his political policy in mideast. Keeping everyone afraid to do anything.
We cracked open the fear that persisted in mid-east...they all afraid of each other....and forced re-alignments. The radicals swarmed to Iraq. Nasty business....but we got most of em. Rather there than having them coming here as su.ic.ide b.om.be.r.s

Valid points here. With all the bombers that have been "scattered" into the Iraqi winds, we can only hope it will dwindle the still willing bombers down to a tiny group. I still would have preferred Afghanistan for this anti-Jihad campaign, but maybe there was a bigger turnout in Iraq. Interesting perspective you have on this.
