Former Gov. of Mexico Extradited to U.S.

When are "we" going hunting?
Georgia is a long way down

hmmmmmm :hmm:

all hearsay?

Pfizer Broke the Law by Promoting Drugs for Unapproved Uses - Bloomberg.com

wink wink nudge nudge , you sly dog you :giggle:

ah... good! I'm not the sly dog here. Warner-Lambert is
I'm showing you how to prove your case with proof, not flying your tongue off and expect us to believe you.

from what I see - they were charged with marketing a drug for unapproved uses but this is shocking to you, how?

plenty of companies like Microsoft, Time Warner, Verizon, AT&T, President campaign advertisements, etc. do make smearing tactic. nothing shockingly new, right?

You should say same to him. It is not good to make such blanket comment "eat right! exercise!".

Okay Jiro I will, since you are correct too.

Steinhauer,

Are you forgetting that some issues like that can be from the body at no choice of the person themself or genetics?

Not a good thing to make assumptions.

Case in point,

My mother has to have medications to help balance out hormones that causes her to have panic and anxiety attacks. She also eats right and excersises, has been for many, many years. It is genetics, my great grandma had the same problem, she did not have medications to help her with that and she was a hard working woman who lived the depression era.

I am not going to go on about mental disorders and their parts in the human body because I am not a professional on this issue. I am aware that there is someone on AD that is a specialist in that matter but it would be up to her to explain in better detail than I, if she so chooses to.

So some medicines are necessary. Some are not. Some people 'think' they need it and some refuse to take it when it would really benefit them. Some are over medicated and others are under medicated.

Like it or not, it's a love/hate relationship with Pharmacutical (SP?) Companies.

either way - I'm still waiting for any conviction. criminal charge. proof. evidence. anything CONCRETE that:

1. pharmaceutical companies pay doctors to prescribe their drugs as choice #1
2. Mexican drug cartels supplying the drugs from American pharmaceutical companies (but don't bother if it's part of fraudulent scheme)

........something else too.

Aren't most medications put before the FDA before it is approved and then distributed?

Usually it is the FDA that has the final say. Right?

I am NOT referring to bona fide illnesses that require medication. I am referring to crooked greed and profit driven sales marketers in the pharmaceutical industry.

Is it ok to medicate (and addict) a person whom does not require medication?

That is the point I was trying to make.

When drug makers' profits outweigh penalties

If you decide you want to try your hand at bow hunting, you are more than welcome in my place. I usually go with friends (all hearing) which are mostly harmless country bumpkins. This year, we will be staying in a very rustic cabin in the deep woods, so its a matter of hunting from the front porch.

We mostly sit around and insult each other until one of us cries for our momma :D

j/k

the one who cries/complains the most has to gut the deer.

I think I will be the only one sitting at front porch, watching ya'all to gut the deer :D

Well, maybe you and me both :giggle:

During my time of "exile" up North, I grew accustomed to the "culture" shock. I still remember my first year "dang, everyone is so mean up here" :laugh2:

I would say you're correct with your assessment about North. "Dude, why you mad? where's the fire?"

Okay, No it is not okay to medicate someone that does not need that certain medication.

We have people out there that are Hypocondriacs(sp?) too.

This is one subject that comes up in my CNA class. The advisor of that class discussed with us about the difference of Elderly in the Nursing homes now, and the next generation that will be in soon within a few decades.

The major difference is this: With the Elderly now in Nursing Homes, they are from the Depression Era, so it is rare that they ask for relief from pain or ask for medication. Because they made do without it back then and 'darn sure can live without those silly things'. They are a stubborn lot and proud. They choose to do things on their own and will get grumpy at ya for trying to help them.

As for the next generation, they are so reliant on medications, have taken many things for granted, and is very used to being waited on hand and foot so they will expect nothing less. My advisor stated that the Medical Industry predicts that the amount of medications given and the cost of them will skyrocket.

So in hindsight I do see your point. The prediction coupled with the Pharmacuticals and their greed does not look good.
