Lucas Radebe, the former Bafana Bafana soccer star, says there is a need for professionals and business people to support hearing-impaired children.
Radebe was speaking at the Carel du Toit Centre for the hearing-impaired at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. The centre is one of those benefiting from the Nelson Mandela Invitational golf tournament which starts tomorrow. The tournament has raised more than R10 million in the past three years for three charities.
Radebe says this is all for a great cause, hence he is part of it in order to try to raise more funds so that centres like the Carel du Toit Centre and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund can benefit, and all those kids can have careers in the future.
