My Mother

You were my mother and my friend,
Which was unusual.
Somehow our characters still blend.
Your wisdom and my will.

I turned, and you were there for me,
I spoke, you understood.
I felt cared for, but also free,
You loved, and I was good.

I'm fortunate that I was born
To someone just like you,
I love you still. Though you are gone,
You live in what I do.

This is my favorite poem and I have it on my desktop. I attached the picture here so u would know what it look like. If u want one just pm me. (dont save the picture from attachment and use it for desktop cuz it will be blurry) I miss my mom very much even though 10 years has passed already. Just thought others who dont have a mother to celebrate with will appeciate this too as well.

Lovely words.

Thank you for sharing it as I lost my mother few months ago.

beautiful peom here...

I last saw my mother was 1995 before she disappeared in my life. Nobody knows where she is now. We beleive that she is still alive.

I lost my mother in law to brain tumor in 1996.

It has been almost 13 years since my mother died, and I still miss her.

Very nice poem, and I know how you relate to it. I also really like the picture with it for desktop.

:smoking:

Very touchy poem there Spicy, and I'm really sorry to hear about your mother same goes for the others as well :(

im not posting it to hear sorry from people, Angel, (no im not jumping on your throat, just wanted to make sure u understand what Im trying to do) I just want to share the celebration for mothers day in different way with people who have similiar situations :)

After all... our mothers who are not here on earth are not gone completely... they are still alive in our memories and in our hearts as long as we remember them.

Thank you for your sympothy though :)
