So I finally got my new Ventra card this morning, and when I called the number provided, they told me my info wasn't in their database. WTH? The RTA didn't even tell them who I was, and now I gotta wait until tomorrow to activate my new Ventra card, and yes, I was not happy about it.

That leads to my next question-- has your experience with Ventra been good or bad? And do you like this or don't like it?

UPDATE: Ventra card successfully registered, and due to activate soon. Still want to hear about YOUR experiences.

According to a quick Google search, Ventra has a lot of negative feedback. 1.2/5.0 rating.

Yes, and a litany of problems. They say they'll be on track at the end of this year, but I think that's BS until I see otherwise.

I don't use public transportation. However, I know a lot of deaf people in Chicago area. I'm pretty sure that some of them use Ventra. I can always ask around. I feel that I'm getting a stronger and stronger networking among deaf people in the area every day. Therefore, I can always put you in touch with other deaf people who use Ventra.

Please do. I'd love their input. You have my permission to refer your friends here.

Thanks. I've read about the hearies complaining about it, now I want to know how the deaf feel about it.
