:bump: for anyone to see this thread. It hasn't been posted since 23rd.

I'm one of them folks. I have experienced couchsurfing with Gabi last month. It was an interesting experience to stay over a host's place with different backgrounds, interests and all that stuff. I even stayed at a 400 acre farm in a small town in Western WA state for 2 nights along with Gabi. It's really interesting to chat with a guy who has his own experience with farming, history, etc. You get to meet new people at the same time save money not going to a hotel or something. It's great for low budget travelers who come from other countries or traveling around the US.

It is so much more then that, its amazing I have met several deaf people that are in couch surfing and maybe your budget or life doesn't allow you to travel but you want to experience the world. Well it can come to you :)
