Do you make any food canning?

What? Food canning for what? Do you mean homemade?

I made jams from fruit trees and berries at my garden. After finish make jams and add them into glass jars and leave them in dark and cool room at basement. They can keep up to 2 years.

I have thought about making those fruit preserves in cans becuase my grandmother would always make them when I was younger. Lost interest in that. Not that I want to learn how to do it, but it's a neat process for anyone who wishes to proceed with it.

No problem, tell me which fruits you want to make for jams?

If I do ever want the chance to make fruit jams, it will have to be strawberries, black currants and apricots. What about you?

I made jams, jellies and juices from my fruits and berries at my garden.

I use Juice Steamer to make jellies jams or juices

Elderberries
Apple
Raseberry with orange juice
black currants
red currants

When it's over then add juices to saucepan and leave it until cold then add preserves sugar and boil until jellies are ready and add few lemons juices before add them into hot jars.

Without Juice Steamer, just saucepan, I add halves strawberries and then add preserves sugar and leave them for 24 hours until the sugar gone to juice then boil them until you feel preserves are ready and then add few lemon to protect from mold before add them to hot jars.

I use yellow or dark plums to puree machine until they are smooth and then add them to saucepan and add preserves sugar... same as strawberries as well.

I will add the recipes here when I'm home from work this evening.

I agree with you canned not good for your healthy! I only eat sliced peach, bean pinto and green bean that's all! Watch out too soduim and salt and sweet! depend canned.... Most time I dont like it.

It's the same thing with my grandmother used to make a lot of jars with strawberry jam, international food, and all kind of pickles always given to all my relatives and she even had her own lil farm garden. The next generation no one makes anymore jam and all so forth not like her recipes.

I only do know how to make a vanilla ice cream can for the camping.
