Hi, I need your help. I have a fire alarm that was donated to me by the Red Cross. This fire alarm need to be installed next to the house fire alarm, and then it has another device with an antenna with the vibrator to be placed next to my bed.

I have been wondering if there is a smoke detector that I can switch the one that my room has for a special one that flashes instead. The reason I dislike mine is because it is another electronic eye sore for my room. I am the type of person that like to minimize electronics in my room. There's something about its energy with people if you know what I am talking about. I used to have the same problem when I had my computer in my room, I used to diopise looking at it and moved it out of my room, which is a whole lot better.

I use an alarm clock with flashing lamp. I have never cared for a vibrator. Also, the fire alarm I got would go off in the middle of the night!! I didn't know how to solve it, so I never turned it back on after that happening 3 times in a row. My mom and I used to share a room in a small apartment, so I wasn't too concerned except for when I was alone. Now, I have my own room, and I need to grow up and get an alarm already. I really want one that has a flashing light that is visible when sleeping like my alarm clock without having extra annoying wires.

Do you know if they will wake me up? I use an alarm clock that plugs to my lamp. My concern is if they will wake me up and not just effective just if I am awake. Just asking if you know. Thanks!

I am sorry I don't understand what you mean. Do you rather to wake up by yourself when the light lamp go off?

Why don't you ask your friends who actually have one and see if it works on you. It would be hard to rely on us since we all respond differently to different lights. Some people wake up quicker because they are more sensitive. Some wake up slower because they don't realize the flash.

I don't have deaf friends. Just the hearing world. It doesn't matter anyway. I am going to have to stick with the one that I have for now. There is a deaf center that might allow me to test technologies. Maybe they have the type of alarm I want in the future.

Well, if your'e gonna stick with what you have, I think you could call in an electrician to solve your problem.

Gentex strobe alarms work it woke me up because my ex wife liked smelling the smoke from the candles she blows out so one night she did that to a lot of candles and she liked the smoke and the smoke detector picked it up and woke me up easy.
