Fixing our truck just got stopped..Problem!!

My bf and I have been fixing up my 1970 chevy one ton truck. and the processe just got halted cause i forgot how to take the battery out. Can anyone help me remember. For the life of me i can't think of how to fix it. yes call me a blonde.

Read manual?
 
To do that yourself. All you need is a rolling wrench and a flat or phillip screwdriver.




The another screwdriver is flat and not an x at the tip. I can't find a picture of a flathead screwdriver right now on Yahoo image.

Instructions:

Use the wrench and the screwdriver to disconnect the plugs on the battery then you can put a new one in. Make sure to ask at the store which battery is right for your year make and model, type of engine.

that's on a normal car heath this isn't a normal car the battery is in there diffrenet other wise duh i know what those two are i do work on cars every day so i hope i know
 
The process is the same. I find that baffling. It is the same with cars and trucks everywhere.
 
this is a truck that was put back together by someone who obviously did not know what they were doing but my teacher will look at it tuesday
 
Hmm.... well your teacher will tackle the problem much better since I am not under the hood working on it to be able to see all what is up with it.

I was waiting for somebody to come up with right tool. So far none came up with correct. All of these tools are WRONG one! Need rachet wrench with 10 or 13mm socket (More likely 13mm socket) and the clamp on bracket is really on the base iof the battery! Gotta to look at bottom of battery to see the hex head bolt. Its there, just loose it and viola you can take it out.
Very easy! Interesting nobody can figure out.
 
Diehardbiker, either one will work but you still need a flat or a phillips screwdriver to hold it in place while use the pendant wrench to loosen the battery then take off.
 
Nope! Been there and I have done replace batteries many times. I know GM too well. Sorry
