A fire Friday evening forced an evacuation at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson.

The Tucson Fire Department said a barbecue flipped, hitting a dormitory and catching it on fire.

A fire department spokesperson said most students and staff had already left for the weekend and only three students and two staff member were cleared out safely.

There were no injuries. It reportedly took over 45 minutes to clear the scene because of a large amount of smoke.

An unattended barbecue is being blamed for sparking a fire that caused $200,000 in damage at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson.

It happened Friday night at the campus at Speedway Boulevard and Grand Avenue.

We're told embers flew onto the roof -- burning part of the building.

Three children and two staff members safely made it out of the dorms.
