I've got new digitals and finding it very uncomfortable. The center where I bought them isn't always available on Saturdays - and not near me - and most audis near me aren't available for clients on a Saturday, so if I need adjustments, I've got to always take time off from work which adds up. Why are audis only available during working hours and never there for people in evenings or on Saturdays? I would think you'd get more clients if you were accessible....

Sometimes some audis will schedule Saturday appointments. I found my current audi (been with her for about 10 years now), because she had Saturday morning appointments available.

Before that, and when I was still working, I used an audi who had an office right downtown, an easy Metro ride (one stop) away from my office, so that worked out well to just occasionally take an hour of sick leave for an appointment. Or sometimes I could fit it in on my lunch hour, even.

You said the center "isn't always available." By that do you mean it never is, or that it is indeed available sometimes? I'm assuming you probably have to get them adjusted there as part of the process of buying from them.

Scheduling issues can be a hassle, for sure. I hope you can get them adjusted to your satisfaction fairly soon, and then you probably won't need many more appointments. Or at least you will be able to plan ahead for them.

my place is open til later on some days and sometimes will take me really early in the am before opening or sometimes a bit after closing..they are veryyyy accommodating ..but I think it's cuz they love me there so much haha

I mean it's not always available as the woman is sometimes on business trips or it's the holidays that cause the close - and it's just not close to me so there's a lot of driving involved. I've got Avail Starkey RIC and for someone that wore analogs, they stink. I've done this three times at this point and it's not working for me and I really can't hear. For $2,500....I expected better.

I at one time had an eye doctor even closer. We were in a building with 3 small offices and he was next door. I spent NO time in his waiting room — they would just call when they were ready for me and as bookkeeper (thus not being involved with clients) I could always just pop over. Then one time years later after we had grown and built a larger office he came in (he was a good buddy of my boss) and I mentioned needing frames bent.
He asked for them and did it on the spot which was especially good since what I was looking for was to read the computer screen more easily.

Wow Jane B! Talk about convenience! :)

To Lau, you are right, it can be hard to find a audi with convenient hours sometimes. I know that the HearX chain in NYC even closes in mid-day during the week for an hour! Crazy, right!

Good luck with your search.
