finding a doctor, ent, audiologist, etc.

:-o SUE! SUE! SUE!

Haha... I would but I'm not the type for revenge.

Plus I don't mind being blind. I don't have to see all those annoying advertisements. ;)

i'd love to see if the psychiatrist i was referred to initially could get my ultradian rapid cycling (hourly mood swings) under control. even if this were possible, i don't think i could stand to be treated as a second class citizen every month. oh well! i found a psychiatrist who i'm very happy with and is *very* upfront with me about my bipolar, so that's what's important.

I'm glad to hear that Hear Again! It's so hard to find a psychiatrist that you don't feel like is playing games with you or hiding stuff from you. It's nice, isn't it?

yes it is. some psychiatrists don't seem to care about treating your mental illness one way or the other while others seem to overprotect you. (the same is true for doctors in general.) the one i have tells me straight up that rapid cycling is a very difficult condition to treat and not to expect much from my meds *but* to always take my meds on a daily basis and to attend weekly therapy and bipolar support group sessions. he also keeps me updated about the latest research in regards to bipolar. i've been treated for mental illness since the early 90s (early on for depression which was actually bipolar) and have only had 2 other psychiatrists who i can say really had my best interests at heart.
