I wants share with you guy and that you can pass on word to people, your friends or people, to aware what happening with FCC decision with VRS.
Keep that mind, it all about the VRS and not narrow from one VRS provider.
We have a great functional to use videophone or the video mobile with the VRS. There are numerous to remember what VRS provider (Ex. Purple, SorensonVRS, ZVRS and other) those need our helps.

• Free Long Distance
• Communicate with Hearing people via the interpreter
• Product that we can use call
• Able contact E911 for help and simple technology to alert the emergency station
• Ten digit numbers are huge impact for us instead the IP Address
• Free technical support

If we don’t taken the action about Docket No. 03-123; the file include attach this forum with those explain about costs.

• Slow service to updating the software or the machine with error or technical issue
• Hold call high possible chance waiting on call hold little more longer
• May notable get enough interpreters even FCC requires VRS maximum call holder is 2 minutes
• Ten digit number may delay due fund with register the number system
• May remove the toll free numbers due fund budget
• It is fair for new person, Michael Copps, change to make delay for our need?

You see those VRS provider and offer us the videophone. Most of the time is free and while some require paying with low price in order to get device of videophone. They use their money expense and not the TRS fund. It similar to me that shareholder pays the employee, device, and building. If the fund are cutting to reduce fund and the shareholder pays to interpreter to match continue on hold waiting instead gets high calling. What more I say about other device, feature, and service can be slow upgrading due fund focus on their own expense. Why it has happen to slow provider for our need; it is fund or money from FCC and in past that FCC promised three years term but new person and withdraw the agreement for 3 years rate plan.

What the worse part about the VRS rate, if it still fails and does nothing. The VRS rate will be various, image that cost of interpreter may not enough fund for other VRS provider. It can lead to lie off and lose company for our need service.

I encourage you take your time to read and fill the form, FCC Electronic Comment Filing System, and we can make it happen that Michael Copps can’t change the promise. It need stay on same rate. So the VRS can increase more service for our need.

You may get email from VRSCA.org if they have copy template email to FCC about what its benefit us and why FCC shouldn’t reduce the fund.

- Hearing person can call us with 10 digit numbers

Guy... Just keep that mind as open. What Qwerty shared the link base because of Sorenson picture on our head. Sorenson point the concerned if the other VRS provider such as HOVRS, and more. Sorenson's point about those charge stay and not to change. If it is change... more worse part is...

My point of view...
* Less VRS provider which mean laid off the interpreter turn unemployed
* While VRS Center of provider shut down due fund, mean Viable, HOVRS and Sorenson could have face the risk.
- explain; the FCC requirement is 2 minutes on hold for us get interpreter while we are calling with VRS provider to answer or pick up the next turn. FCC could have charge those VRS provider and FCC's fine of charge isn't cheap as we pay our ticket for speeding.
* Sorenson point of view to keep that stay GAME; while the telephone companies are play in game. It keep healthy but again it hard to decide what we want or pick the service..:giggle: It part of business role. Image that Sorenson is begin large while other VRS try capture of Sorenson's image. HOVRS and Viable are on the way to front row where Sorenson stand. It great and make Sorenson run little ahead and then they ahead than Sorenson. :)
* Just remember, we just simple need VRS; what if HOVRS down or Sorenson down, it would impact either one of them to keep running to stay union for Deaf community.
* It not just because Sorenson want those money... It VRS need those money to investing more Interpreter while volume on calls
* VRS have other money which it not from FCC fund for VRS. Try investing their own expense to create new product.


So... If you have a question about all those provider, I am not here to SUPPORT SORENSON. Myself Sorenson user and Viable user. I use Purple service but they still NEED polish their server which they are getting good. :) Each VRS have learn their lesson mistake and that vault their provider improve for all of us. VRS is impact our life turn great... if FCC make VRS turn around into old time. We do not want that happen...

Any question, please keep bash off. So we can understand what VRS mean to us because I felt that remain out there VRS user doesn't understand what FCC effect VRS's provider.
