FCC just now approved SideKick III specs and it will hit market pretty soon, maybe up to June (hopefully before end of April!)

SideKick III doesn't look so impressive... There are other mobile phones/handheld far better than SideKick I, II and probably will better than SideKick III.

Really, can you tell me those models and reason why you think they are better than sidekick line?

Apparently SK3 does NOT have some features such as
no camera no wifi etc...

SK2 seem better than SK3.

According to what I've read:

The test results do not show UTMS capabilities. They're still stuck on GRPS/GSM. Where's the high speeds they promised? Blackberries have EVDO capabilities which rock on download speeds.

No WiFi capabilities, which really misses out on the next generation of wireless device usage. Again, without the test results stating that the UTMS is possible, and knowing T-Mobile's limited coverage compared to other carriers, SK3 adopters will be disappointed. Limited coverage but WiFi available = cellular goodness!

Limited software capabilities -- very few programs for Sidekick's custom OS vs. the common Blackberry, Treo, or Windows Mobile phone. Want GPS? Too bad. Want driving directions, or yellow pages to find the nearest pizza place? Not on the Sidekick. Want to video with anyone wirelessly? The Sidekick won't be able to expand to do that.

Why you dont read CAREFUL before you said.

1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory (miniSD), and Bluetooth.
There is camera and bluetooth (maybe wifi too)

Oh no, Neo I'm hitting my forehead Oops... my mistake Sorry !!!!
I already typed "Apparently" anyway I'm WRONG....

SKIII is a big disappointment. I am going for a cell phone that's smaller and compact and truly pocketable.

We don't know the detailed specs until they come out in real. IT has bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera built in, expandable memory (could mean more space for programs since the sk1 and 2 have limited memory to add programs/games. We'll see the reviews when it really comes out. :)

I am really happy about sk3. Great Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera built in, and expenable memory( this is one I need, Sk2 is too much hassle) My pc has a media reader 8 in 1 drive

SK3 is the thing to have. It is FAR more advanced than SK2, better camera megapixels, SmartDisk addition, EDGE (upgrade from "dialup" to "DSL"), BlueTooth (capability to transit between devices in short range approx 30 meters), no plastic keyboard (holed up in hard plastic to prevent wear out), EXTERNAL BATTERY!!! (can replace battery and recharge them externally!), better flash and so on.

Exactly. Not to mention that Sk3 can print any picture on any printer that has bluetooth. As I said Sk2 has a lot of hassles.

While there are wireless devices out there that are compatible with very specific bluetooth printers, it's inconceivable that the Sidekick 3 will be able to print to any or all bluetooth printers unless there are specific drivers already built in, which we have no information about.

Any picture on any printer with bluetooth? Come on, stop making up things as you go along. Even Blackberry pagers with bluetooth have to pay $2000 for a ThinClient server to do printing to "any" printer.

EDGE (upgrade from "dialup" to "DSL")
"dialup" as GPRS that goes between 12kpbs to 60 kbps
"DSL" as EDGE that goes between 56kbps to 124kbps

BlueTooth (capability to transit between devices in short range approx 30 meters)
It's might goes up to 100 meters.

EXTERNAL BATTERY!!! (can replace battery and recharge them externally!), better flash and so on.
sound nice, it would be easy to do that, like digital camera as could replace anytime without use screw to open. ugh.

Dennis may be right, there is no confirm that there is bluetooth support for printer. I know few nokia does support on limited printer. I have Nokia phone with bluetooth but it doesn't support any printer at all.

An I am not sure if Sidekick 3 have better camera quality. 1.3 Megapixel doesn't make better picture, only bigger resolution.

Buy a digital camera. :) I would rather use SK3's camera for quick snapshots that goes with conversation or of importance. I would LOVE to have Canon Digital SLR with ELAN 7E technologies for serious picture taking like flying by a waterfall. Oh well.....

My classmate has a nokia cellphone with windows OS. it has its bluetooth built-in. I asked him after I read yours, he says no cost at all and took me to the study hall room that's where there is a small and old printer that has bluetooth adapter that costs you like 30 bucks. he pressed a print with the picture he has in cellphone and the paper is coming out of the printer. I said I knew I am right. I showed him to read this post and said $2,000 dollars for server or something. So we decided to print those posts and showed that to our instructors. They said, Have your heard of Bluetooth USB adapter? Did we teach you that a long time out didnt we? I said Yeah, just confirm thats all. Our instructors said that's silly $2,000 dollars.

P.S. I graduated from Florida Career College, have A.S. degree in Computer Network Engineer and three cerftications which are A+, Network+ and MCSE. Now I am working on getting MCSA, Linxu, and CNNA. I work for Alienware.
