NEW YORK A fan plunged from the upper deck at Yankee Stadium onto the screen behind home plate during Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

The game was delayed for four minutes in the eighth inning after 18-year-old Scott Harper plummeted about 40 feet onto the large net. The Armonk, New York, native eventually was taken to a hospital after his head was immobilized in a neck brace.

Following the Yankees' 2-to-1 loss to the White Sox, Yanks owner George Steinbrenner said Harper's fall was the only exciting thing that happened in the game.
Is George sick or what? This proves how arrogant new yorkers are.

The news this morning said that the guy jumped onto the net because his friends dared him. It wasn't an accident.
 
I dont see anything that dared him to jump into the net. I think they were curious to see if the net would hold his weight. Now he got arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment. This happened the second time in 5 years that fell into the net. That person 5 yrs ago was also arrested. This is very dangerous and this could break your neck if you do this.
 
I think he wanted to be on TV and in the newspapers.Everyone wants to get famous and have a momenmt being a celebrity in their life so he jumps on the net. And he gets on TV and gets in the newspapers.Its better then trying to run on the field having cops chase you. So? Why not maybe ill jump off the upper deck at camden yards so i can get on TV,The News and on the front page on the baltimore sun. If Spiderman can get himself all over the papers why cant i?
