2 questions:

1. My girlfriend wants the white I Phone 4S. She wants me to get the black I phone 4S. SInce I am deaf and would need the deaf plan, would it be better to have my own plan and she can have her plan? She is hearing, not deaf. Or should we have a family plan? Which will be cheaper?

2. Let's say that my girlfriend cannot pay her portion of bill under the family plan, do that mean I would be stuck paying for her portion of bill?

If it's your account and you put your girlfriend on it, you'll be responsible for paying the bill. Better not do it if there's a chance that she won't pay you for it.

Also a cheaper plan that doesn't suit your needs could end up costing you a lot more.

Im on verizon, and on a family plan between 5 people. We break it down, everybody owe's 20%. I pay just a little over $60 for a smart phone, unlimiyed text and data and insurance and Ive got minutes that can be used (say by mom, friend, etc)(use to be bad about dropping phones). I priced the deaf plan with a smart phone, unlimited data and insurance, it was like $80. I still have the family plan (actual family, so im not going to get screwed over y'know)

Might still be expensive compared to say straight talk and such, but im an electronics nerd andlike having the "latest and greatest"

I hate to say this but what if both broke up you would stuck paying for both phones. I would get separate plans .

yup, I agree with everyone else... unless you are seriously invovled and trust her whole heartly.. that she will pay... DO not do it. You don't want to end up being in debt because she did not pay her half
