I'm somewhere more neutral with Fair Tax than being against after have situation with owe taxes for scholarship and grant that used to cover room, board and any expenses that are not related to educational institution. I wasn't know about scholarship and grant are taxable on some circumstance until recently.
There is positive about Fair Tax are no penalties/interests and easily to understand about simple code. Students don't have to worry about crisis over tax because they may not pay in full by April 17 if they don't know about it until recently, even some students don't file at all until get in trouble with IRS.
Alternative Minimum Tax? WTF...
Gift Tax? That's insane...
Estate Tax? That's stupid...
