Facebook...for the unborn

When my girl was born, I've been very surprised to find out that, after just a few days of living, she already had her ID number for taxes purposes. To have a facebook account even before being born is even worse

When I see things like that I often wonder... What will happen if that child will have some problems? What will those parents do if she'll born with some handicap? It's not a game, you know... But they'll find out themselves I guess, these are things you may do being lost in the enthusiastic sensation of becoming parent for the very first time.

One should never get so wrapped up in their own feeling about becoming a parent that they fail to consider the impact on the child.

My feelings about Facebook are pretty well-known to those close to me. I find it to be similar to a black hole of your free time. I know people that are online there for most of their waking hours; playing the games, updating their status, etc. It has some benefits, but they tend to fade out relative to the hours a user stays online at the site. I have rekindled friendships there, but have also grown frustrated by the malware, gossip, etc. I don't care if you had hot dogs for lunch, KWIM?

Apart from ethic considerations upon posting about an unborn (or born!) child, I find facebook hopelessly B-O-R-I-N-G
Plus, I had some friendship request from people I hadn't seen for a LONG time... And for very good reasons, too
