Extreme Couponing

Oh, yes. Clerk had to double check my coupons. I assured her that the coupons are real.

Some stores are getting to the point where they don't take coupons for 'certain items' or don't accept coupons at all. Some will limit you to how many coupons you can use in a transaction.

The Harris-Teeter we go to has a senior discount of 5% on Thursdays, for those over 60. A couple years ago, when hubby was still 59, he didn't realize it but the checkout woman gave him the 5% without even asking his age. I noticed it when I looked at the receipt later and said "What's this??"

He didn't know if he should feel insulted about being thought older or happy to save a few dollars.

Coupon and Deals were present at that time, Now they are expired and now that offers can not be taken.I wish that i would be at this forum in last march.

I recently started watching this show on my free weekends from band. I got addicted to watching it. its like a thriller movie, only with coupons. its fascinating to watch!

I don't know about Ontario, but here in BC there is a limit how many coupons
you can use at the store.

I suspect, though, Ontario is the same, the only way you can save by couponing in Canada is by using as many as there is allowed per item and having a coupon/s for every item you buy.

I personally cook from scratch, hardly ever buy processed food - for it is unhealthy imo,
and thus hardly ever find coupons for the items I use.
So, no extreme couponing for me.

Regardless of my shopping habits, I couldn't help but notice what some of these ladies buy with their coupons.
Hundreds bars of Mars or other bars, liters and liters of Cola or other sugar laced soft drinks??

They already looked like they should rather exchange these coupons for
a real money and buy an elliptical, instead.

WHO needs so much chocolate/soft drinks? or diabetes?

I don't get it.

I get when extreme couponing is done by large families, then yes, it make sense. Some give to charity, h-okay.
But some of these are single person/s who stuff their shelves with
tons of needless sugar and fat. I doubt that much stuff will be eaten before it even gets spoiled...
Beats me....

I don't understand how they do it, either. Saving a few dollars here and there, yes. Saving nearly the entire cost of several carts full of groceries, with most of it crap? I don't get that.

I can't stand this show. The stores allow double and triple coupons on top of loyalty discount cards so these people can get away with this. But guess who really ends up paying for it? The other customers, that's who. I wouldn't shop at any store that allows this type of fleecing.
