LINTHICUM, Md. -- Police are investigating a shooting early Thursday evening at a Baltimore Gas and Electric office.
SkyTeam 11 reported over the office in the 7300 block of Parkway South Drive in Linthicum, where police have reported that one shooting suspect is dead.
Two medic units responded to the scene in addition to dozens of Anne Arundel County police units.
WBAL-TV 11 News reporter Darrielle Snipes reported later in the evening that BGE representatives identified the shooter as a 48-year-old man who was recently terminated.
BGE spokeswoman Linda Foy told 11 News the man had been fired Thursday from his position as an assistant designer for new projects after 28 years with the company.

According to police, the man, whose identity was not immediately released, arrived at the Anne Arundel County office, brandishing a gun.
Snipes reported a supervisor inside the building saw the man arrive and warned employees to flee the building.
Police said the man started firing his weapon before he entered the building.
"He used the weapon to gain entry; he apparently fired shots into the window," Sgt. Shawn Urbas said.
Police said the man fired shots inside the building, but it was unclear as to whether anyone was injured. Police said the man then shot and killed himself.
BGE plans to make grief counselors available to employees Friday.
Yeah imagine working for the company for 28 years, and then
you got fired... and sheesh, I don't know why I wanna work
for anybody.
