Who Makes Up The U.S. Energy Drinks Market [infograph]
Energy drinks are everywhere, even Lil Jon has his own (which just might explain this). Although energy drinks have only become popular in recent years, the first energy drink, “Iron Brew,” was produced in 1901 by Scottish beverage company, A.G. Barr. Here’s another infograph that was sent in by a TopCultured reader that wishes to remain anonymous. It’s got some great information on the energy drink market and the habits of the users. If you’d like to contribute to the site, anonymous or not, feel free to send us a message.

Yup, 40% in south, wow and that's surprised me.

I had seen too many energy drink in any store in south.

I suppose south is not a coffee drinker. for same effect - just pour Red Bull in your alcohol

ha ha ha i stick with coffee that has no sugar in it. it works wonderfully for me. ;)

Yep. I'm not surprise about my Oregon. I do drink Red Bull, Rip It (only in Oregon), and Rock Star. But I prefer sugar free for some reasons.

Red Bull has about the same amount of caffeine as coffee... however while coffee is taken with a sip, Red Bull is taken quickly in large amounts so the consumers could easily get the same effect and more quickly.
