I would like to see a logical explanation as to why the edit button disappears after a certain amount of time. I was forced to double post, which is one of my pet peeves. The edit button disappearing probably is the cause of some quadrple posts around alldeaf.
 
The reason for this is because some members have been editting their posts to avoid trouble. For instance, a member would bash another member. After a report was made, that member would change her own post and then act innocent.

We do give you some time to edit your post. So, you should be able to realize that you forgot something. If you forgot to add something much later, don't worry... you can just add another post. Just don't abuse it by making 10 posts in a row simply because you "forgot". ;)
 
I see. Same thing happens at other forums. GameFAQs has this problem with people posting and then deleting 5-10 minutes later. CJayC got pissed and warned people they would get banned for doing this. Thanks for the info, VamPyroX.
