Ok, I have got my temps, I finished all my driving classes and my behind-the-wheel lessons at a driving school. (For those who live in the dayton area in ohio i went to PDS driving school. look it up at Professional Driving Systems Driving School - Quality Training by POLICE Professionals)

And I'm still new on the road. I been wanting to practice on the road to get more hours in. But my parents didnt really want me to because they want to get on a designation on time since i'm a new driver i kind of drive slowly and cautiously on the road.

But i need some tips. When i'm driving on the road, i kind of weave in and out in my lane. ANd i'm trying not to. I adjusted the steering wheel, my seat, my rearview mirror and my outside mirror. But for some reason i keep weaving in and out a little. Especially on the freeway. I have been on the freeway 3 times. From 2 weeks ago on my 3rd behind-the-wheels lesson, again on my last behind-the-wheels lesson for about an hour, and for about a hour and a half yesterday on the way home from my cochlear implant tune up. My dad keeps yelling at me in the car when i drive. and i can't really concentrate on the road and my driving when hes doing that. and he gets me all nervous and worked up on it.

So what are some tips that you can give me as a new driver. And some tips that i never knew before. it would be helpful to know some more. Thanks!!

That what my Mom scream push more gas when shift gear. it was mustang but She hate when I drive slow.

My Dad don't do but if I make mistake like blindspot he yell.

Honest I wish them would try keep quiet but explain what to do instead scream you not pay attention or you too slow or too fast.

You mean like wander on road not stay straight? It hard to stay straight until your car is in great shape then it can be. Too much wander would have police stop you. little wander is normal.

I drive 96 Ford E350 van with bad front suspension so It impossible to stay straight.

My uncle's son had a Ford Taurus SE when my cousin was driving it as his car to school, work, going to friends house, etc. And they handed the car to me to drive as your typical car. So i'm excited to have it.

Yes i mean wander on the road and not stay straight. I'm trying to get used to driving a car. My car: Ford Taurus SE, is in pretty good shape. its about 10 or 12 years old. It used to be my grandma's car who gave it to my cousin who gave it to me. I drove on the highway only 3 times and i'm still wandering on the road. Partly because i'm nervous about cars passing by me and on the actual road like a neighbourhood road kind of thing to a restraunt or to walmart i always feel scared like i'm going to hit the trees thats in the middle of the road. and that i almost hog the other side of the lane trying to advoid hitting it when i'm not going to. I'm trying my best to stay in my lane and not wander on the road or the lane. But its hard. I'm always trying to get my parents to let me drive when they need to go somewhere but they always keep saying that they want to get there on time to a specific place they need to get to because i'm a new driver and such. My mom has acutally let me drive for her to do her errands in my car.

My mom doesn't really yell at me. She says i'm doing a great job, except for the fact that i'm wandering ALITTLE bit on the road. She just sits there in her seat looking out the window and watching what i'm doing. And she would give me tips, in a calm way, in case i did something by accident or what i need to do to stay in my lane.

My dad yells at me if i keep wandering in my lane and that i can't help it but he says i can. And he makes me nervous when he yells at me. he yelled at me when i was on the highway driving home from the hospital from my cochlear implant appointment. Because of my wandering on the highway. I swear if he yells at me again i'm gonna explode. I can't wait until i drive by myself when i get my actual driver's license. I have my temps.

Ok
sound you need tell your Dad check that Taurus alignment. Make sure all tires have same air pressure because 1 tires could be 10 PSI and 3 tires is 30 PSI then it will wander. If you have 4 tires that have same psi then it be better.

That 96 ford E350 first day my Uncle bought and make me drive because it was too much for Uncle drive because it way WANDER. Well drove 50 miles to my college for fix alignment. It like you need keep moving steering wheel to try stay straight but it so hard when you on bad road it feel like it want go to ditch.

After alignment now it little straight but little wander. Plus 4 tires were not equal. 1 is 20 1 is 30 1 is 60 1 is 40. That why they wander bad. After fill air to 60 psi and 80 psi it stay straight.

But your car could be 35 psi tire but ask your Dad.

easy for you is do during non busy day mean everybody is sleep or work.

Last time when I was learn to drive. I hate busy traffic road it was too hard for me when I try learn how to use manual transmission. I am glad it was not in New York they are FAR busy traffic in highway I have see.

You in Ohio that great why you could go to country so road is quiet and not busy there. It be easy but be careful it could be animal jump on road. I never have hit but slam brake hard and hit horn.

I really wish I could help...it has been over 20 years since I first started driving so I dont remember how I was when I first started driving. I do remember being afraid whenever I got on the freeway/highway cuz it seemed everyone was going way too fast for me. I think practice and time are the only way to become a better driver. That's all the advice I really feel that I can give right now.

Good luck!
