The Vietnamese girl has a 16-pound facial tumor and is in Miami awaiting surgery that will restore her ability to eat and speak. Doctors say the tumor threatens to suffocate Lai. They will remove the tumor in a 10-hour surgery on April 29

How stupid her parents don't do anything to her for long time? 16-pound is too much and more cost from doctor bill. Oh geez!

If my kid have tiny tumor then take her to doctor quick.
 
Ouch! I am heartbreaking! I watched on tv on Discovery Health about Facial Tumors. It freaked me out to see it. That's so sad! I don't like to let tumor grow big. Must be remove quick before get grow.

Umm, her parents from Vietnam and are very poor. Even though they took her to a local hospital, but they were turned down. Until someone noticed a girl with the largest tumor, then contacted the agency who helps children with various health problems.
 
That's true about her parent are poor. It's same with Haitian girl's parent are poor. Her mom attended to church for faith. She need to go there for her daughter with facial tumor. Everyone prayed for her. Everyone gave her a donate for surgery. God sent them go to Miami, Florida for operation. The girl had remove the tumor and put a plastic surgery on her face. She can smile now. She is very happy! Praise to lord!

Wow.........that pic is really....something. This type of facial tumor is called a lipanjomala (sp?) She looks very young for fifteen.

I'm glad to know they did it successful on surgery to save her...


 
Far out, that's huge tumor for a little girl. I hope the surgery were successful for this little girl.
