do you think this has some meaning behind it all

ok so the past year i've had two dreams about my friend nick that had freakishly come true. dream 1 was about him talking to me about his girlfriend, and when I woke up the next day he talked to me about his girlfriend. Which i had no idea that he had a gf at the time because it was right when we getting know each other. The 2nd dream was about the same girlfriend and he told me they broke up because of trust issues ,and then at the end of the dream some girl who knew nick was saying im his new girlfriend .. i was huh when was this decided. Then a week later after after i had the dream he tells me his girlfriend and him broke up because she cheated on him. I'm so confused why these dreams of him are coming true, is there some sort of sign behind these dreams. I told my friend, and she told me that maybe unnconiously we like each other ,but conciously we don't know yet or something which kind of made sense. what do you think?

Kind of interesting and yet, at the same time, strange too--huh?

I have had something like this happened to me before, quite a long time ago...I dreamt about one of my good friends back then and dreamt that a gf (hearing) of his (he's Deaf) came over to his place and had a long talk with him and that she was breaking up with him....That next day, I mentioned to him about the dream, sure enough, three days later, she came over to his place and they had a long talk and broke off with him. In a way, I feel that if he hadn't been informed or knew ahead that this was a possibility, he made not have been able to handle the situation of breaking up well, but since I had shared with him of the dream, I believe he was much better prepared even though he may have thought that my dream was strange and odd.

In your case...obviously, there is a reason behind it, sometimes it's more than just what your conscience mind tend to think or believe, it very well may be just a 'sign of the times', to which you can either be able to take an advantage of or sharing what takes place in a dream with those involved that may surely could do some good in the long run. Other than that, there could be gazillions of reasons for having those sort of dreams. Wishes you all the best and hopefully you'll be able to better understand the purpose of having these.
